Maple, Ontario – December 9, 2018
Member of Parliament, Deb Schulte, today welcomed The Honourable Filomena Tassi, Minister of Seniors to Vaughan, to highlight the government’s commitment to support seniors in the riding, and across the country, and to discuss opportunities to further improve the lives of seniors.
Minister Tassi and MP Schulte toured the Human Endeavour facility in Maple and participated in activities funded by the New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP). The NHSP has provided nearly $600,000 to 14 local seniors clubs and organizations in King – Vaughan, over the past three years, to fight social isolation, promote wellness, and provide opportunities for cultural and youth exchanges.
The tour concluded at the Marino Centre in Maple with a roundtable discussion with local stakeholders.
